In the blogging world, there is a lot of...wanting to keep up with the Joneses, let's just say. The marble backdrops, white walls, perfect flat lays. I fail in all those regards. I recently bought a Canon EOS M10, a small, mirrorless camera - as much as I love DSLRs, I can't lug one about, especially if my chronic pain is flaring up a bit. Also, I didn't want to go for the Olympus PEN because damn, every blogger and their cat seems to have that camera.

I have my own style of images, at least I like to hope I do! But one thing that's quite the investment if you haven't got one, is a darn camera. Now, if you went on Holly's blog, you wouldn't guess that all her pictures are taken on her phone...I KNOW, RIGHT? Shows that you don't have to fork out for a camera to create stunning images.

I always want to do one of these kinds of posts, but never feel I can amass enough things to talk about, even though I watch a fair bit. I've tried to make the effort to see films I've been somewhat interested in, or on the other end of the scale - stupidly excited to watch. And it's that time of year where there aren't many shows you can properly binge watch, which is what I prefer to do! I was inspired by Michelle's post to chinwag about what I've seen at the cinema.

IT ★★★★☆

I was going to avoid this film like nobody's business, because clowns. When I was little, Channel 4 aired the mini-series...let's just say that many years later I am not the biggest fan of clowns. But I was hearing relatively good things about it, so thought I would dive in head first to try and get over my fear (by making sure I sat right near the back so nobody would see me jump...) and I came out of it, kind of excited to see the second one. To me, Bill SkarsgĂ„rd, who plays Pennywise, is just the right amount of creepy and terrifying. All the kids in the cast as well were so good. Came out of the film wanting to take fashion tips from Richie (Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard).

Ever get those moments where something mundane leads to something kind of awesome? That happened earlier in the day, when it was tipping it down - what's new, eh? British weather. So to hide from the rain, I walked into Waterstones, and stumbled upon this book. Everyone's a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too by Jomny Sun caught my attention, had a quick look at the first couple of pages, and decided to buy it (alongside Jon Krakauer's Into The Wild).

I announce my return to blogging, promise I'm going to post more, and then don't for 2 weeks. Round of applause for me being a complete tit. So this is going to be a sit down post. One of those, grab a cuppa (whether it's tea, coffee, your beverage of choice), and I am most likely going to blab on about things that have been going on in my life lately. Also...it's September already? This year has been a weird one for many reasons, and has also flown by?
